Program Description
Food--its access, significance, production, regionalism, and change overtime--is a topic of study that has importance for understanding the complexities of a society and the socio-economic, political, and technological opportunities or challenges that the society faces. Colombia has ethnic and regional diversity as well as a history of immigration and conflict, which influence its rich culture and food traditions. Join us in Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Santa Marta to explore food sustainability and culture in Colombia!

Eligibility
All Purdue students may participate in this program. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
All students participating in a departmental program will complete a pre and post assessment as part of program completion.
Avanzando through College Cohort will be priortized.
Program Cost
Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.
$1,471 (includes lodging, most meals, program activities, and ground transportation), excludes airfare
