A Gap Scholarship That Covers Initial Financial Need
21st Century Scholars covers tuition first. Purdue Promise covers initial financial need as determined by FAFSA (can view on student’s financial aid package). It is recommended to get a double/triple w/ AC with a 14 Track meal plan for the most affordable option.
A Purdue Promise Coach

Each student in Purdue Promise is assigned a Purdue Promise coach from our professional staff that will work with you throughout your time at Purdue. Your coach will help you maintain your scholarship, be available to answer questions, and connect you to resources as needed. If they don’t know the answer, they will find it for you or direct you to someone who does know.

GS 197, First-Year Seminar Course

Each student in Purdue Promise is required to enroll in GS197, a 1-credit course, in the fall of their first year. This course is designed to help students learn about Purdue resources and help successfully transition from high school to college.

GS 405, Senior-Year Course

Students are required to take GS405, a 1-credit course in the fall of their senior year. This course focuses on how to be successful in life after college with practical advice and knowledge on negotiating job offers, comparing medical insurance packages, and how to start building credit.
