Four science students honored at Academic All-Big Ten

Four Purdue University College of Science students were honored at the Fall Sports Academic All-Big Ten. This year, 70 student athletes from Purdue University were honored. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten, student-athletes must be enrolled full-time at their university for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
In order to achieve this award, the student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0+.
All four of the student athletes from the College of Science are from cross country. They are:
- Douglas Buckeridge – Mathematics/Statistics
- Alex Frey – Master’s in Computer Science (2022, 2023) /// 4.0 GPA
- Nathan Walker – Mathematics Education (2022, 2023)
- Caroline Jordan – Ecology, Evolution & Environmental Biology (2021, 2022, 2023)
In addition to this honor, one student, Douglas Buckeridge, was honored for being an NCAA Championships qualifier.
