Technologies We Oversee

BoilerConnect

BoilerConnect is a student success system that links staff, faculty, and students in a coordinated support network. It allows users to identify students in need of assistance, and provide targeted outreach, support, and referrals, helping them navigate Purdue from enrollment through graduation.

BoilerConnect Student

BoilerConnect Student is a unified mobile and desktop platform designed to help students stay on track and succeed. It acts as a central hub where students can schedule advising appointments, receive early alerts from faculty, and easily access campus resources. By consolidating these key functions, the platform empowers students to proactively manage their journey to graduation while giving advisors and faculty the tools to provide timely support.

Forage

Forage is a free online platform, promoted by Purdue's Center for Career Opportunities (CCO), that provides Boilermakers with a significant competitive edge by offering virtual work experiences designed by leading global companies. Through these self-paced job simulations, students can explore various career paths and gain practical, real-world skills in fields ranging from engineering to finance and marketing, all without leaving campus. By completing these modules, students not only build confidence and discover potential professions but also earn valuable certificates to enhance their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, effectively bridging the gap between academic theory and professional application and better preparing them for internships and full-time roles.

Shovel

Offered free to all Purdue students, Shovel is an intelligent study planner designed to help students master their demanding schedule. This smart time-blocking app allows students to import coursework from Brightspace, estimate study time for each task, and see if they realistically have enough time to get everything done. By visualizing all academic and personal commitments in one place, Shovel helps Boilermakers proactively manage their workload, avoid last-minute cramming, and maintain a balanced schedule.

Smart Plan

Co-owned with the Office of the Registrar, Smart Plan (formally called EduNav) is a degree planning platform that provides a guided, personalized, and optimal pathway to degree completion for students – think Google or Apple Maps for degree planning! Students and academic advisors will be able to visualize the full pathway from matriculation to graduation in a detailed and term-by-term view. Thinking about a course or program change? You can see and understand exactly how that change will impact time to degree!
