Orientation Programs Team Leaders

The Team Leader position is an entry-level leadership role that supports the mission and vision of Orientation Programs, Student Success Programs, and Purdue University. Team Leaders work to create an inclusive environment that enhances the growth and development of new students. The mission of Orientation Programs is to introduce and connect all new undergraduate students to Purdue University through student and staff led academic and social programming to prepare them for their Purdue experience.

All Team Leaders are responsible for actively participating in Team Leader Trainings, events, and programs throughout the Spring semester as well as providing support to new students during the week of Boiler Gold Rush International and Boiler Gold Rush.

Orientation Programs Team Leader Requirements

In order to apply for the BGR Team Leader position, you must meet the following conditions:

  • You must be a full-time undergraduate student at Purdue through August 2025 or later.
  • You must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA through the Summer 2025 semester.
  • You must be available to be on campus for all of August training, Boiler Gold Rush International and Boiler Gold Rush activities.
    • Specific dates will be provided later but prepare to be back on campus early to mid-August.
