As we head into 2023, I want to take this opportunity to do two things - reflect on the legacy of our organization while looking forward towards our bright future.

This year marks many milestones here at PMO. Our Glee Club will celebrate its 130th anniversary. University Choir was founded 90 years ago. Our Annual Purdue Christmas Show will take the stage for its 90th performance since its inception in 1933. These are no small accomplishments, and we look forward to celebrating them with you.

Speaking of these two ensembles, the Glee Club and University Choir are hitting the road for spring break tours of San Francisco and the Upper Midwest, respectively. We’ll be collaborating with some old friends on these trips including Jacob Stensberg and Dr. Suki Wong. We’re forever grateful to these individuals for their contributions to our organization during their tenures here. They’ve both gone on to do great things in the arts and will undoubtedly continue to do even more.

We’re eternally grateful for the opportunity we’ve been given to create everlasting memories for you and your loved ones. Whether it’s a person’s first or eighty-eighth time at a Purdue Christmas Show performance, our goal is to continue providing one-of-a-kind experiences that keep you coming back year after year. We’ll be bringing back some old favorites for this year’s performance, including the audience sing-along, as well as some other festive surprises.

Finally, 2023 marks my fifteenth year as director. Time flies when you’re having fun, and there’s no other place I’d rather be than right here, doing what I love thanks to the support of donors like you. I’ve had the privilege of working with many great individuals while I’ve been here – from the alumnus who now has a child in one of our ensembles to the concertgoer who rarely misses a performance. I look forward to sharing our passionate work with each of you as we shift our sights towards the horizon of great things to come here at PMO.
