CODO Information

A Change of Degree Objective or CODO occurs when a student requests to enter a program in another college or school in the University at their same location of attendance at Purdue. To prepare for a successful CODO, it's important to carefully review and meet the specific requirements set by the College of Science for the program you're interested in. You may follow either the CODO requirements in effect when you first started at Purdue (your catalog term) or the requirements approved for later catalog terms.

Enrollment in some College of Science programs exceed the resource capacity to meet student demand. For this reason some departments must limit CODOs based on a semester-by-semester analysis of the total department enrollment.
