Steps to Leaps in Action

December 23 / January 24

Over the past year, we have had the opportunity to hear from colleagues about how they are infusing tenets of Steps to Leaps into their work. (Please note you must log in with your Purdue login to access.)

We’ve heard about:

This is a great time of year to think about what we’ve learned and look forward to the opportunities the new year has to offer.

The Steps to Leaps in Action articles highlight the work being done across campus to align resources with the Steps to Leaps pillars. In doing so, students can see connections between the concepts they are learning and the resources they are using across campus. Did you take a similar approach to capital projects in University Residences and infuse Steps to Leaps and diversity and inclusion into your professional development? Did you take your mission and purpose, as Purdue Crew did, and embed Steps to Leaps in all facets of your work? Whether large steps or small, what you are doing to align your work has an impact.

In this season of reflection, we encourage you to think about the ways you’ve engaged with Steps to Leaps. On March 20, we will once again host the Steps to Leaps Summit. Over the next few months, you will have the opportunity to submit a presentation and nominations for awards. We encourage you to save the date, begin thinking about nominating outstanding individuals for awards and reflect on presentation topics that you and your staff can share about your successes. By highlighting what you are doing, you will encourage and inspire your peers to take similar steps. Together, we can help all of our students recognize the many resources that are available to them at Purdue.
