Activities and Events

The International Friendship Program (IFP) coordinator works to schedule events throughout the semester for hosts and student guests to attend. These pre-planned social and cultural events are for IFP participants to engage in together.

Examples of Fall Semester Events:

  • Semester Kickoff Cookout
  • Exploration Acres Discount Day
  • Pumpkin Painting
  • Fall Harvest Party & Chili Cookoff

Examples of Spring Semester Events:

  • Bowling & Pizza Party
  • Quiz Bowl Trivia Competition
  • Ice Cream Social & Crafts

The office of International Students and Scholars (ISS) also highlights activities and events of interest happening in the Greater Lafayette community and on the Purdue West Lafayette campus to students at the beginning of each month. With many international students and scholars and cultural organizations at Purdue, there is always a cultural event to attend: Global Fest, Feast of the Hunters' Moon, International Education Week and Spring Fest to name a few.
