Awards Presented at Latinx Graduation

Wilson Usedo Sí se puede Award

DUE: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17TH, 2024

The Wilson Usedo Sí se puede Award is named after a student who tirelessly supported Latinx communities at Purdue University. Aside from being a leader in the community and being actively involved at the Latino Cultural Center (LCC), he was committed to ensuring that other students were connected to resources, that they felt a sense a belonging at Purdue and made their home away from home at the LCC. Upon graduation, Wilson became involved in Purdue Latino Alumni Organization (PLAO) and was gearing to make it more visible and accessible to alumni. Sadly, Wilson was involved in a fatal car accident and passed away on August 15th, 2015. The Latino Cultural Center is accepting nominations for a graduating (undergraduate/graduate/domestic/international) student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to service and empowerment of Latinx communities at Purdue University and/or the Greater Lafayette community.
