CCO Feature

Is your student in exploratory studies or thinking of changing their major? Are they trying to develop a career plan? Do they need job searching tips? Are they considering graduate school? Encourage your student to make an appointment with a CCO consultant! Your student can make an appointment via phone or on our website. These services are free and welcome to students from all majors.

Additionally, we encourage all students to utilize our online resources. They can explore majors and careers using our career compass, search for jobs on Purdue’s job board (myCCO), and browse tips for resumes and cover letters. Our website has a wide variety of resources that are available for both students and alumni.

On- and Off- Campus Housing for 2018-19

Although we are just over half way into the fall semester for the 2017-18 academic year, many students have already begun the process of determining where they will live for the 2018-19 academic year. If your student is currently living off campus or plans to next year, Off Campus Housing and Student Legal Services has some things for students to keep in mind about renting off campus.

For students staying on campus for the 2018-19 academic year, current residents of University Residences had an opportunity to select where they will be living on-campus beginning at noon, November 1, 2017 through contract renewal. Contract Renewal is a phased process – based upon where the resident currently lives and their current University classification. With the exception of November 1, 2017, each phase becomes active at 8:30 a.m. and remains active until the end of the contract renewal process, which is February 28, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. There are two options of contract renewal for students: Return to Your Same Room and Move to a Different Room. Emails were sent to residents on October 26th outlining changes, updates and the phases. More information about contract renewal can be found on the Contract Renewal FAQ page.

University Residences Winter Break Housing

University Residences will be closed for winter recess starting December 18th through January 3rd. During this time, students have the option to sign up for room only-interim housing. The cost is $330. If students live in Cary Quad, First Street Towers, Harrison, Hawkins, Hillenbrand, Hilltop Apartments, Third Street Suites, UR Boiler Apartments, and Purdue Village Apartments they can stay in their own rooms. Hilltop, URBA, Purdue Village Apartments are all exempt from the $330 cost. Students living in other halls will be required to move to unoccupied space in other halls. The deadline to sign up is December 18th. Space is limited, so students of closed halls need to secure break housing as early as possible. Pre-registration is required.  For more information visit the Winter Break Housing page.
