College of Science Minor Policy
An academic minor is a secondary academic discipline that complements a student's major area of study or allows a student to pursue a non-related area of interest. Due to the supplementary nature of a minor, adding a minor from the same or closely related academic program as a student's major(s) area of study is not permitted. What constitutes a closely related minor is determined by the College of Science and can be reviewed with your Academic Advisor. A complete list of Purdue minors is found in the University Catalog.

College of Science Certificates Policy
An academic certificate is a formal credential that allows students to gain focused expertise in a specific area of study, either to complement their major or to pursue a specialized interest outside their primary field. Certificates are designed to provide targeted knowledge and skills that can enhance academic and professional goals. A complete list of Purdue certificates is available in the University Catalog.
