Asset Star
Description
The Asset Star includes detail about an asset including its location and condition, as well as the acquisition value and the depreciation expense. The primary source of information in the Asset Star is AS03 (Display Asset Master Record in SAP).Compensation Plan Star
Description
The Compensation Plan Star includes the projected compensation plan for an appointment. This star is intended to be used to project monthly salary for an individual per position. The star contains historical data as well as 12 months into the future. The grain statement is one row per Personnel Number (PERNR), per pay period, per account combination. The data in this star is refreshed nightly.
Caution: The star uses a significantly reduced amount of Wage Types compared to Payroll Charge. If summer data is in SAP (Infotype 15), then summer salary is included in the this star. This star does not contain Fringe Benefits; fringe benefits are calculated when payroll is processed. The FTE for past months will only be picked up if the person was an active employee on the first day of the month.
Controlling Star
Description
The Controlling star is obsolete effective 7/1/2018 and is no longer being refreshed; this star has been replaced with the Financial Accounting Star.Endowment Book Value Transactions Star
Description
The Endowment Book Value Transaction Star provides endowment financial transaction postings from the PRF system. The grain statement is one row per transation per account combination. The data in this star is refreshed nightly.
Endowment Values Star
Description
The Endowment Values Star provides the ability to view market value, book value, and permanent units for both Purdue and PRF endowments on a semi-annual basis. The grain statement is one row per endowment fund. The data in this star is refreshed nightly.Financial Accounting Balances Star
Description
The Financial Accounting Balance star contains information regarding cash and/or management balance on a particular account; Source = FI.
Financial Accounting Open Items Star
Description
The Financial Accounting Open Items Star includes financial data for open invoices and billings only. This star will primarily be used by the Comptroller area and other central offices to report on outstanding invoices and billings. The Financial Accounting Star should be used to view all financial data.
Financial Accounting Star
Description
The Financial Accounting Star includes financial data used to prepare and create University financial reports, IPEDS and other internal or external financial reporting. This star will primarily be used by Accounting Services and other central offices responsible for University reporting. The Financial Balances Star should be used for all cash queries although information about cash is also available here.
Financial Balances Star

Funds Management Annual Budget Star
This star is obsolete effective 7/1/2018 and is no longer being refreshed; this star has been replaced with Funds Management Planning Star.
Funds Management Balances Star
Description
The Funds Management Balance star contains information regarding cash and/or management balance on a particular account; Source = FM.
Funds Management Planning Star
Description
The Funds Management Planning Star is used to review annual plan data. This star is the replacement for the Funds Management Annual Budget star. The planning star does not contain Employee, Job or Position data due to the new annual budget planning process.
Funds Management Star
Description
The Funds Management Star contains financial postings from SAP's Fund Management (FM) module. This data includes Budget, Commitments, Expenses and Revenues.
