Requesting Business Data Access

Steps for the User:

After discussing the business need with your supervisor, business office, or role requester:

1. Complete Certification(s) - Data Handling and others depending upon access requested.
2. Register for and complete Data Training as recommended for your position.

Steps for the Supervisor, Business Office, or Role Requester:

1. Navigate to the SAP Identity Management (IDM) - Roles and Privileges webpage. 
2. Expand the IDM Processes section
3. Open the Request Roles QRG and follow the steps to request business data roles.
   1. The View Assigned Roles QRG shows you how to check the roles held by the position prior to submitting a request.

BI Role information is outlined in the Boiler Insight User Manual.  Users will automatically be subscribed to the Cognos business users mailing list for information on upgrades and system downtimes.
