Power BI Accessibility
You can design and create compelling reports while also designing for accessibility. Whenever building a report, no matter who your audience is, create your reports to be usable by as many people as possible, without the need for the report to be adapted for a special design.
Helpful Tips
- Turn off Scan Mode / Browse Mode
- Make use of the context menu to move fields around for screen readers

Setting up your report
- Add Alt Text to your images and other visuals (Visualizations > Format > General > Alt Text)
- Set the tab order (Selection > Tab Order)
- Use Titles & labels
- Avoid using color as the only way to convey information (Use markers). Use a different Marker shape for each Line / Area / Combo.
- To turn on Markers: Visualizations > Shapes > Show Markers
- Ensure you use enough contrast on your report / dashboard.
