Basketball Game Parking Restrictions

Parking Garage Restrictions and Paid Event Parking

The Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage is designated for attendees of home men's basketball games. It remains available for the campus community during women's basketball games.

Anyone entering the Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage after the designated times below on home game days — including those who have an “A” or “Student Garage” permit — will be required to pay event parking rates or provide a prepaid, digital athletic event parking permit to gain access. Those who are parked with an eligible university parking permit prior to the event rate time will not have to relocate.

Event parking in the garage generally begins at:

  • 5 p.m. on game days during the week, with some games having restrictions beginning at 4:30 p.m.
  • 3 hours before tip-off for weekend games

Parking Lot Restrictions and Towing

Parking is restricted in the lots surrounding Ross-Ade Stadium, Mackey Arena and the Mollenkopf Athletic Center when home basketball games are scheduled. These lots will have "No parking" signs with tow times posted prior to the events. Vehicles must be removed from the lots prior to posted tow times or will be towed at the owner's expense. General tow times are listed above but are subject to change. Select lots may become reserved in the days leading up to games. Signage posted in parking locations will be most current.

Maps of the standard affected parking locations are available on the Purdue Sports website. Schedules for men's basketball and women's basketball are also listed online.
