XII. Host Units and Hiring Units

  1. Host Units and Host Unit Heads are responsible for ensuring-
    1. Hosts comply with all applicable University policies and procedures relating to the presence of International Scholars/Staff Members in the unit.
    2. Sponsored International Scholars/Staff Members within the Unit have environments conducive to successful activities.
  2. The Host Unit and/or Host Unit Head must notify International Scholar Services promptly if they become aware that
    1. Hosts are unable or unwilling to perform the responsibilities of a Host as described in Section 2,
    2. Sponsored International Scholars/Staff Members are frequently resigning, being terminated or otherwise abandoning appointments/employment with the Host, or
    3. Hosts are otherwise struggling to retain Sponsored International Scholars/Staff Members.
