Costs and Scholarships
We want to make it as easy as possible for families to understand the costs and financial aid options for Early Start. One big advantage of being in Early Start is that students already have credits under their belt before the fall semester!
There is no program fee for Early Start. We simply charge the regular rate for summer tuition & fees.
Note: All University fees are subject to change without notice and some colleges at Purdue will add in differential fees to their rates.

Scholarships and Aid
We're making summer education at Purdue more affordable — with over $4 million in financial aid available for students.
First, students must complete a Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA) and submit a Purdue University Summer Aid Application via the student’s myPurdue portal. Be sure to submit the summer aid application in your myPurdue portal once available in early March.
This ensures eligibility for summer financial aid, including grants and scholarships, which can help offset the program’s costs.

Summer Aid Application
You can submit an additional application for summer aid through your myPurdue portal. Don’t worry—this information, along with detailed instructions, will be sent to you in your Next Steps email after you’ve confirmed your participation in Early Start.
Scholarships
If you’ve already been awarded any scholarships, you can apply those directly to your Early Start tuition costs. This can help significantly reduce your out-of-pocket expenses and make the program even more affordable.
Purdue Division of Financial Aid
If you have any specific questions about your financial aid situation, Purdue’s Division of Financial Aid is here to help. You can set up an appointment to discuss your individual needs, either by email or by phone.
Financial aid can seem overwhelming, but with the right steps and support, you’ll be well-equipped to handle it and make the most of this opportunity at Purdue.
