Summer Programs and Courses

We partner with several academic units on campus that have specific summer experiences in their major and areas.  We collaborate with the other units to make the student experience the best possible.

Through our partnerships with Purdue’s top academic units, you’ll have access to exclusive summer programs designed to enrich your college experience. These immersive opportunities allow you to explore your major, work on unique projects, and connect with mentors early on. With support from dedicated faculty and a campus-wide network, you’ll gain valuable skills and connections that set you ahead. Don’t miss out on a summer that opens doors and elevates your journey!

Engineering Academic Boot Camp (EABC)

Launched in the summer of 2005 in the College of Engineering, the Engineering Academic Boot Camp was developed to improve the transition of engineering students into  campus culture.

Emerging Leaders

The mission of Emerging Leaders Scholars Programs is to maximize scholars’ potential by providing an overarching, campus-wide initiative supported by college specific programming.

HHS Connex

In the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS), we stand together to support your next giant leap. Through the new HHS Connex program, you’ll have access to additional events, activities and experiences beyond existing HHS programming that are designed to foster community, belongingness and allyship among HHS undergraduate students. The program is sponsored by the HHS Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the HHS Undergraduate DEI Committee.

Pharmacy PEP

The Purdue Pharmacy Education Program (PEP) is a residential summer orientation program designed to welcome first-generation or low-income students and is inclusive to all rising freshmen to Purdue during the summer months. This program offers them the opportunity to transition into college life. Students will take classes, engage with current pharmacy students and learn all about the Pharm Life.

Purdue Polytech Institute (PPI)

Get acquainted with the Purdue campus, your Polytechnic professors and college advisors this summer before the August rush of students, classes and activities at STEM Summer Program. STEM Summer Session students usually achieve higher GPAs than the first-year class average!

Early Start Courses

What’s the schedule like? Most on-campus courses will meet daily (Monday-Friday) for 90 minutes. Between classes, study time, and events with new friends, you’ll be actively engaged on campus — and busy. Great practice for the fall semester! Online courses will require meeting various deadlines throughout the module, but students are responsible for their own pace - we will be here if you experience any difficulty.

Residential classes have been strategically selected to span majors across Purdue University. Students may complete up to nine credit hours during the five-week session if you are participating in the residential or commuter program, including:
