Purdue offers a vast variety of resources for their students and CAPS wants to help you connect to your community of care. While this is not an exhausted list of resouces, here are some helpful campus entities that many of our Boilermakers may benefit from.
Purdue’s West Lafayette campus is implementing a technology platform called BoilerConnect as part of ongoing efforts to improve retention and graduation rates of undergraduate students. It will be a one-stop student success platform that combines predictive analytics with communication and workflow tools to help support retain and graduate students.
PSUB is the source for campus entertainment! It works hard to bring fun-filled exciting programs to campus while providing hands-on experience in event planning for those helping host the events. PSUB also serves as the voice of Purdue students in the cooperative management of the Purdue Memorial Union.
Steps to Leaps is a set of five convenient, self-assessment pillars to help students build lifelong habits that lead to more resiliency, self-confidence, financial literacy and the growth mindset.
Created by students for students under the auspices of the Office of the Provost, Steps to Leaps speaks to the heart of students’ struggles in today’s world and strives to nurture perseverance, vision, intention and the formation of social support groups, all while reducing stress.
The AAARCC has opened its doors to all and seeks to remain as a source of education, integration and support. Programs and events will be constantly evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of the campus community.
The BCC provides purposeful, holistic, scholarly and cocurricular programming designed to strengthen understanding of African American heritage. It enhances the academic, cultural and social development of the entire Purdue community.
The mission of Horizons Student Support Services is to assist students in developing academic, social and personal skills through holistic services including tutoring, faculty mentoring, peer mentoring, career development, academic support, cultural enrichment and access to global experiences. These initiatives, coupled with a sense of belonging, will contribute to a well-rounded and successful Purdue University experience.
The office of International Students and Scholars (ISS) is committed to the internalization of Purdue University by providing appropriate services and support to international clientele and various University departments and offices. ISS seeks to enhance the academic, cultural and social pursuits of students and scholars from abroad through knowledge and expertise in recruitment, admissions, immigration and advising.
The LCC creates an inclusive environment for the entire campus community, fostering meaningful dialogue and cultural understanding of Latinx communities. The LCC supports Latinx faculty and staff while we recruit, retain and empower Latinx students to succeed, giving them a sense of belonging until graduation and beyond.
The LGBTQ Center provides programming that engages the entire Purdue University campus and community on LGBTQ issues through an exciting calendar of events, a distinguished lecture series, advocacy for equitable access and a discrimination-free environment, facilitation of a variety of training opportunities throughout the year.
The NAECC is home to Native American, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian students, faculty, and staff representing over 60 tribal nations at Purdue. The NAECC is instrumental in nurturing student learning and success and provides educational opportunities for the campus community to learn about Indigenous cultures.
Provides an array of resources and support for veteran students and those still serving in the military, as well as their dependents. In addition to providing a physical space in the Purdue Memorial Union where students can gather, the VSC serves as an on-ramp to navigating and accessing military-related education benefits.
Advising is key to student success and supports the teaching and learning mission of Purdue. Our main goal within the advising community on Purdue's campus is to make advising an integral part of students' learning experiences, through one-on-one, student-centered advising in a supportive and caring environment.
The DRC ensures universal access to classes, programs and activities. Purdue has designated the DRC to determine reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
The lab offers help with writing and teaching writing, research, grammar and mechanics, style guides, ESL (English as a Second Language) and job search and professional writing.
The ACE Campus Food Pantry makes food more readily available to members of the Purdue community who may be experiencing food insecurity on a consistent or inconsistent basis. All you need is your Purdue ID.

The Ombuds service is an informal, neutral, and, in most cases, confidential resource for new and continuing graduate students to raise questions or concerns about any aspect of their graduate experiences.

Adult Services Clinic – serves adults of all backgrounds who would like help in coping with stress, managing relationships, and finding ways to more successfully deal with life
Offers assistance with depression, anxiety, or a variety of other symptoms, with services centering on empirically-based treatments
Student-athletes are eligible to receive free individual counseling from one of two sport psychologists. Counseling provides a nonjudgmental perspective in an accepting environment that can help you find direction, as well as possible courses of action in order to improve your situation. Commonly addressed topics include: coping with life stressors, time management, coping with injury, career transitions, eating disorders, substance abuse, relationship stress, depression and anxiety.
