Steps to Leaps, PUSH and You
When Purdue rolled out Steps to Leaps in 2018, the overarching premise was that every student can excel on their own path to achieve personal goals. As you may expect, the staff at PUSH gravitated to the wellness pillar. When asked how PUSH would contribute to Steps to Leaps, the staff liked the idea of showcasing wellness concepts that ranged from understanding health insurance to taking your temperature and what it means to have a fever. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and changed the way we all think about health.
Now we turn our focus to a more holistic, integrated and strategic approach to promoting well-being in our care of students.
By promoting active collaboration between our healthcare providers and our patients we can support the whole student experience. Students who are well are successful.
Each month, on this site and the electronic sign boards at PUSH, we feature a topic to promote innovative, proactive and upstream approaches to well-being to support the role of students in their own wellness. Some of these are general and others are very specific to the current events we are experiencing.
