Length of Time at PUSH:
Before coming to PUSH in 2022, I worked as an assistant professor of emergency medicine at West Virginia University from 2020-2021. My wife and I then moved back to Lafayette/West Lafayette where my wife is from. I worked in private emergency medicine from 2021-2022.
Why do you like working at PUSH?
I really enjoy working at PUSH because of the interaction with students and helping make sure they are safe and getting them back to their normal lives including both classes and having fun. The staff at PUSH are also universally great to work with and create a very friendly work environment.
Philosophy of Care:
First and foremost, I treat all my patients with the dignity and care I would want my family to get from their healthcare provider. My goal is to be thorough and complete so that my patients get the best care possible, while also including my patients in their care and the decision making that goes along with it. I want my patients to be comfortable with the decisions made and come away with greater knowledge about their own health.
What do you like to do when you're not at PUSH?
When not working at PUSH, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our cat. I also enjoy hiking, travel, reading and cooking. I am actively involved in my local church as well. Recent books I’ve enjoyed reading are “The Hobbit” and “Failure Is Not An Option,” by Gene Kranz. I also enjoy watching Ken Burns’ documentaries from time to time.
One Sentence Fun Fact:
I once drove through a tornado on the interstate in downtown Atlanta.
