Length of time at PUSH:
Before coming to PUSH in 2025, I practiced as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Eskenazi Health for over 10 years. My background reflects almost 21 years of experience with a combination of obstetrics and gynecology and primary care related to this specialty. Most of my career has been focused on caring for the underserved and the vulnerable population, where I was advocate and a primary resource for the patients I served.
Why do you like working at PUSH?:
The most meaningful part of coming to work at PUSH is being able to return to my community and create the kind of environment that once supported me as a student. Purdue has a diverse student population with many backgrounds, each carrying their own stories, culture, and challenges. I am excited to be able to serve these students and guide them regarding their own health and wellness and empower them to build healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
Philosophy of Care:
Shared decision-making is central in my approach to care. I ensure that patients’ values, preferences, and goals shape all decisions. Through open communication and transparency, I empower patients to make informed choices that support their well-being and autonomy.
What do you like to do when you're not at PUSH?
When I am not at Purdue I enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my grandchildren Marco and Mila, and my granddog Socks. I also enjoy shopping and watching crime, court and drama series. My favorite TV series include Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, S.W.A.T., The Handmaids Tale, Lincoln Lawyer, and Suits.
Fun Fact:
Diet Coke is like gold to me! Anyone who knows me well knows that I love Diet Coke, especially in a can. It’s funny that I often receive them as surprises or gifts from family and close friends!
