Evaluating UR Experiences @ Purdue

The OUR supports UR mentors and program coordinators who wish to evaluate UR experiences. OUR evaluation initiatives include:

• Self-Assessment of Mentoring Skills (SAMS): This inventory helps mentors to identify their perceived level of skills related to mentoring undergraduate student researchers.
• Framework for Evaluating Success in Undergraduate Research: A self-evaluation framework for Purdue units (e.g., college, school, department, or large research programs).
• Mentor-Mentee Expectations Comparison: A low-stakes inventory to help mentor-mentee pairs determine who is responsible.
• PURESist: COMING SOON! A comprehensive survey consisting of selectable blocks/instruments used to evaluate the environment for undergraduate research within a campus unit.
• Consultations: Individualized support to evaluate UR, such as the evaluation typical within grant requirements.
