Registration Procedures
Registration is the process of selecting courses, reserving space in those courses, receiving a schedule, and paying fees. You are not officially enrolled until fees are paid.
Registration begins with a meeting with your academic advisor or major professor to receive your PIN number. If you do not know who your advisor is, check the myPurdue academic tab or contact your college/school or department. Your advisor will counsel you towards an enrollment plan that matches your educational objectives and degree requirements by completing an Advising worksheet.
Next, find your Registration Time Ticket. Time tickets are located by visiting the Registration page via myPurdue. Then under the Register for Classes channel, select Registration Status. Select the term, and your Registration Status will display. Registration dates are found here: http://www.purdue.edu/registrar/currentStudents/students/registrationFaq.html.
Please note that the first day and time listed in your registration status is the earliest you can register, and registration is available to you throughout that period. If you have a hold that would prevent you from registering, it also will be noted here.
Once your Time Ticket is open, you should reference your 8-semester plan in myPurduePlan for the courses you need to enroll in via myPurdue. Once your fees have been assessed, you will receive an e-mail notification to your Purdue e-mail address.
For links to the West Lafayette campus' colleges/schools and programs, see the following Web site: http://www.purdue.edu/Purdue/academics/
Verify your emergency contact and personal information (address, telephone, etc.) through myPurdue or by visiting the Office of the Registrar. Be sure to pay fees by the due date in order to prevent cancellation of your registration.
For additional information about the registration process, please contact the Office of the Registrar in Stewart Center, Suite 176; call (765) 494-6165; or send an inquiry via e-mail to registrar@purdue.edu.
